I won’t say that this is something I’ve struggled with, but expressing my faith through Geocaching is something I’ve wanted to do more of. Unfortunately, in today’s world, I can see why Geocaching.com frowns upon this sort of thing. I mean, I don’t want people filling up my caches with advertisements for their businesses, and a lot of people see Religion as that type of thing. I’m not gonna get into how wrong that is, that’s not what this blog is about.
Anyway, I was browsing around on one of the forums I’m a member of (Dixiecachers.com) and I noticed a post about voting for your favorite organization, so naturally I go and start reading about these different geocaching groups in different states, and this one catches my eye. It’s called Geocachers 4 Christ. Basically this is a group of Christians who love to geocache and decided to start a forum on the net to give Christian geocachers a place to discuss both Geocaching, and Jesus. I am now a member, and I encourage any other Geocacher who is also a believer to go join also. This is not only a great way to just get to know more people who believe in the same things you do, but it’s a great way to encourage witnessing through Geocaching. I know groundspeak has limits on this type of thing, but there are ways to minister using Geocaching. So let’s all get together, and get about the Father’s business. Who’s with me?
