My God and an iPod on the Open Road
In Between Wyomings, author and Grammy-winning producer Ken Mansfield, along with his wife, takes a three month road trip through past places in his life that lead him to recount classic events in musical history, as well as many personal experiences with icons such as Waylon Jennings, Dolly Parton, Glen Campbell, Roy Orbison, and The Beatles, just to name a few. In this book he takes us through 30 years of his life in the L.A., London, and Nashville music scenes. It is a story that will touch you as Ken finds his way back to the heart of God’s love, mercy and grace.
This was a very good read, and many parts did in fact speak to me in ways that only God could, but there were other parts that were just kind of tough to get through at times. Most of the chapters are pretty short though, so it wasn’t a hard book to read by any means, just some parts just as meaningful to me personally as others. It is worth your time though.
