I’ve been using Google Analytics for some time now to track the popularity of my website, and I have found out some interesting things. One of the biggest things is that when I provide useful content, the hits on my site increase. This may make you think “duh” but it makes me thing “ah!” Of course content that people are interested in seems to be the hard thing for me to decide upon. I originally inteded this site to be about all my different hobbies, as well as some of my life experience, but other than family and friends, I don’t know too many people that would be too interested in hearing about my latest opinions on which color of blue floss worked best in my latest cross stitch of the sky… Now if I actually created a pattern, and posted it for everyone to use, then that might be a different story, but simply stating my opinions doesn’t seem to work. There is a time and a place for that, but not all the time in everyplace. I’ve got to have content too.
I uploaded all the past Redemption Podcasts about a week ago just to see how much response I would get, and since then the hits on my page have been a lot higher than they were before. That tells me that the podcast(s) I have been considering starting may indeed be a good idea. Also, if I can find some sort of intereactive function that I can incorporate into my site, that might help some too.
So, what would the few people who read this blog like to see added? The podcast(s) is pretty much a definite now, just gotta get the time to sit down (or stand up) and record it, but I want to go even deeper, so give me some ideas. Also, tell me what you like about the site already (if anything). Ready, set, GO!
