Ok, so I’ve tried this before, but I’ve never been able to successfully pull it off too well. I got some coupons in the mail, clipped the ones that interested me, ended up using only half of them, and spent more on that shopping trip than I thought I would. It was very discouraging, but as it turns out, there was one major thing I was lacking that cause my first venture with coupon shopping to be a bust… I needed a plan!
It’s just like with making a budget, starting a diet, making a workout, or almost anything else in life. For it to be successful you need a plan, and you need to stick to that plan. That’s one reason I’m so glad I came across SouthernSavers.com! Thanks to Joe Sangl, and one of his posts on Twitter today, I was introduced to one of the coolest sites I’ve seen in a while. What Southern Savers does is find every single way possible for you to save as much money possible on groceries, and then they tell you which coupons, deals and sales you need to catch to save that money. It takes a lot of work off my side, and makes planning that shopping trip a whole lot easier! There is one catch though… you have to live in the south.
So now with Southern Savers I’m going to give coupon shopping another shot, and maybe this time I’ll actually save some money! Oh, and for two to get started with, here’s a FREE Bacon Cheddar Roast Burger from Arby’s with purchase of any soft drink (just buy a small drink and eat for about $1), and don’t forget that tomorrow is Cow Appreciation Day at Chick Fil-A. Just dress up like a cow, and get free food!
Darn, I think I just lost the game…
