So me and my friend Heath (www.heathhoward.com) are planning on starting up a few podcasts very soon. He’s got some ideas for a couple, and I have ideas for a couple, we just have to find the time to sit down and record the blasted things. So, right now we’re in the planning stage. We’ve got to come up with ideas for shows (we already have the themes), research the topics, and get some show outlines down so the filming will go smooth as butter.
There is another thing I really want to do as soon as I can too, and that is purchase a new camera. The one I have now shoots DV, and it will get the job done, but it won’t get it done as professionally as I would like. So, I want to save up to buy a new camera. I would love to be able to get one of the $3,000 – $5,000 prosumer cameras that all the cool people have, but that’s not realistic for me right now, unless someone really wants to help me out. I had even thought about setting up a “Help Phillip Get a Camera” fund, but that seems kind of cheesy and would kind of make me feel like I’m begging. So, I’m just going to save. We will start filming with the camera I have (or maybe borrow another one) until I can afford a better one.
That brings me to what we have to do right now. We have to stop sitting around talking about it, and just do it. I think I’ve said that in my blog posts for everything I’ve ever considered doing, but it’s the truth. We have to schedule a time, and stick with it. We’ve tried to schedule times over the past few weeks, but then they end up falling through for some reason. We can’t let that keep continuing to happen or we will never get anything done. So there you go. Soon I will have at least one episode of one of my podcasts online, so keep watching for it.
