“Hand of Fate” by Lis Wiehl was a great book, but it left me wanting just a little more depth. The story itself is fairly simple. Famous radio personality is killed, then the main characters who make up the “Triple Threat Club” must find out who was behind the murder. I did like how Wiehl used each woman’s background to not only bring them closer together, but also as part of the main plot. What was lacking to me though, was that the main story just seemed shallow. In the end, even though I’m sure I was supposed to be surprised by who the killer was, I wasn’t. The twist just didn’t twist enough for me. Now that being said, it was not a bad book at all, just not exactly what I had expected. I would recommend it to others who enjoy mysteries or those who are already fans of the Triple Threat Club, and who knows, the ending may surprise you a lot more than it did me!
