I wasn’t around for the beginning of “Rick and Bubba” but I have become a huge fan over the past few years. I have admired how real they are on the radio and it only makes me feel more like part of their family.
I also haven’t read all of their books, but I have read a few of them. So far this is by far the best one they have written yet. It tells how each of them grew into they men they are today, how they first met, how the “Rick and Bubba” show actually got started, and ultimately how the show evolved into what it is today.
It definitely has it’s funny parts, along with the serious and somewhat sad parts, but just like the show, this book is real. Even though it doesn’t get too far into the specifics like where exactly did Dicky Nadmire come from, it does show us the most important pieces of the two men who are behind the show. It felt almost like they were both sitting with me, telling me all these events themselves and when I was finished, it only left me wanting to know more!
