In the Final Summit, a man is chosen to lead a conference whose purpose is to find the one thing mankind can do to save itself. The story starts off in a way that captures your attention, and even though the points during the conference are thought provoking and inspiring, it does seem to drag at points. The shortness of the chapters makes the constant dialogue not quite as bad though.
Even so, this book is one I would recommend. I kept trying to guess, and even thought I knew, what the one thing was that they were searching for, but even I turned out to be wrong. It was also interesting to see Andrews’ take on so many characters throughout history. I even learned things about some of those people I never knew.
In the end though, this was an inspiring, dialogue intensive book that was slow at some points, but still a quick and fairly easy read.
