This is an idea I’ve been throwing around for a while now and I’m thinking it may be time to make it happen. I’ve tried to do podcasts before and for one reason or another (mostly laziness), they haven’t even gotten off the ground. I look around and see the capabilities I have to put together at least a few videos every now and then and it strikes me that this is something I should really be doing. My biggest question is just what to make these videos about.
There are tons of instructional videos on YouTube, so I don’t think I want to focus on making those unless it’s something that’s not out there. I also thought of doing a video of me making different things, not instructional, but just showing it happening, so that’s a possibility. Then, of course, there’s cooking. I do like to cook, and I like to experiment with my cooking, so that could be a good idea. I can think of others too, but I can’t seem to come up with a consistent topic… which ironically is kind of what this blog is. So, as I have explored the options over and over, the conclusion I keep coming to is just make videos. Don’t make it a podcast, don’t follow a specific topic or formula, just create whatever video want to be made at that moment.
And that, my friends, is going to be the beginning of the Phil’s Next Kick videos. Also, to go along with my previous blog post about eating healthier, if any recipes or foods are submitted, I will film me cooking and tasting each one, so maybe that will add a little more incentive to comment and give me some recipes/foods!
Now go forth, comment, and await the glorious videos that shall be posted soon!
This is the latest video I did to show how we set up our church every Sunday.
